A Bit Of It All

A little of this and a lot of that will be found on this page.

An Irish Prayer

"May those who love us, love us.
And those who don't love us,
May God turn their hearts
And, if He doesn't turn their hearts,
May he turn their ankles,
So, we'll know them by their limping!!"

Coon Hunting

I grew up with hound dogs as my playmates. Daddy would fuss that I was going to make them Sissy Dogs, but he didn't have the heart to make his baby get out of the dog pin. I went on my last coon hunt with Daddy and the boys when I was about 15. I had a big day at school the next day and I had rolled my hair,(now remember this was the 60's and we used rollers
the size of grapefruit cans)! Well the dogs were in hot pursuit and everyone was shouting and running, when we came to a fence! Well I decided to go between the fence wires and got my rollers hug in the barb wire and the coon hunt had to stop to get me loose. Daddy said I could just STAY HOME after that.

Frank Tucker my dad and his prize coon dogs circa early 1950's the one on the left is Drum and his bark sounded like he was in a drum. The other is Blue.
